The Battered Christian Syndrome
This book is based on the experiences and stories of church workers who have suffered from intradenominational battering. Understanding these experiences as lived and told stories--also know as narrative inquiry--has gained credence in qualitative research. Unlike traditional books, this book will successfully capture personal and human dimensions that cannot be quantified into facts and numerical data.
The Pew-Rental Dilemma
This booklet is a parable based on my belief that "if money can solve the problem, then you don't have a problem." And is supported by the inspiring story of George Muller. Not long after George Muller's call to the ministry he decided to go against tradition and allow his parishioners to attend church without paying the customary pew rent. As he trusted God for all his needs, his faith grew strong. By the time he died at 93 he had become one of the best-know Christians of the Victorian era, having raised $225 million (in today's equivalency) and saved thousands of orphans from lives of appalling destitution.
